Enhancement Crew Leader
What this role really is
This is project-based landscape work — not weekly maintenance, and not full-scale construction.
Think:
- Garden and landscape upgrades
- Planting projects
- Small builds and site improvements
- One-off jobs that actually change a property
You’ll lead a crew, run jobs start-to-finish, and make sure the final product looks as good as it did in the plan (or better).
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead a small crew on enhancement projects from start to finish
- Read and execute landscape plans with a focus on quality and efficiency
- Operate equipment (mini ex, skid steer, loaders) as needed
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and daily job flow
- Keep projects on schedule and within budget
- Work alongside your crew — this is a hands-on leadership role
- Communicate updates, issues, and wins to the Branch Manager
- Complete site documentation (JSA’s, Toolbox Talks, Aspire, SiteDocs)
- Maintain equipment and ensure job sites stay clean and safe
- Train and support crew members as they develop
What You Bring
- 2–3+ years in landscaping or similar field work
- Experience leading a crew (or ready to step into it confidently)
- Ability to run equipment (mini excavator, skid steer, loader)
- Strong organization and project management skills
- Solid communication — with your crew, your manager, and clients
- A valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
- A “get it done right” mindset
What the Job Looks Like
- Full-time: spring, summer, and fall (with winter transition work)
- Outdoor work in all conditions (yes, even those days)
- Physical role (lifting, moving, building — up to ~70 lbs)
- Some overtime and occasional extended hours
- Travel between job sites
Why This Role Stands Out
You’re not mowing the same lawn every week.
You’re not stuck on one long construction project either.
You’re building, improving, and finishing jobs that you can actually step back and be proud of — regularly.
